The
Commercial Collection Agency Association (CCAA) provides
promotional, educational, administrative and legislative
information to their select membership of commercial debt
collection agencies around the nation. A commercial debt
collection agency can be defined as one that collects business
to business debts, usually including skip tracing services,
asset location and credit bureau reporting. The agencies that are members of the CCAA are among the
most prestigious and largest commercial debt collection agencies
in the Unites States, if not the entire world.
Usually
a commercial debt collection agency works on a contingent basis
meaning that they don't get paid if they don't collect. The
contingent fees for such agencies
customarily ranges from 15% to 25% of the debt owed. Some
commercial debt collection agencies may report to credit bureaus
such as Equifax or Dun & Bradstreet while others may not
report commercial credit whatsoever. It really depends on the collection agency as to whether or not they feel it
necessary to report commercial credit.
The
Commercial Collection Agency Association has a great deal of
educational and legislative information regarding the debt
collection of commercial receivables that it passes along to its
members to make sure that they stay up to date on the latest
news, laws and regulations with respect to the Commercial
Collection Industry. The central focus of the CCAA is the credit
grantor. The Commercial Collection Agency Association was formed
in 1972 to improve the quality and reputation of the Commercial
Collection Industry.
To
become a member in the CCAA, each debt collection
agency must meet CCAA's rigorous criteria of standards.
Once a member, the collection agency is
certified by the Commercial Law League of America, the oldest
creditors' rights organization in the United States. Each agency must pass a stringent CCAA
litmus test in order to gain membership in the Association.
If
your company is looking for a commercial debt collection agency
or several agencies then please
consider the agencies that are
members of the CCAA. Each member agency is highly qualified to
collect your commercial debts. These commercial debt collection
companies are respected and revered throughout the entire
Collection Industry.
