The CCAA provides promotional, educational, administrative and legislative information to their select membership of debt collection agencies around the nation. A debt collection agency can be defined as a third party that collects bad debt receivables owed to another party, usually such services include skip tracing services, asset location and credit bureau reporting. The debt collection agencies that are members of the CCAA are among the most prestigious and largest debt collection agencies in the Unites States, if not the entire world.

Usually, a debt collection agency works on a contingent basis meaning that they don't get paid if they don't collect. The contingent fees for debt collection agencies customarily range from 15% to 45% of the debt owed. One debt collection agency may report to credit bureaus such as Equifax or Dun & Bradstreet while another debt collection agency may not report credit whatsoever. It really depends on the debt collection agency as to whether or not they feel it necessary to report credit.

The CCAA has a great deal of educational and legislative information regarding the collection of debts that it passes along to its debt collection agency members to make sure that they stay up to date on the latest news, laws and regulations with respect to the Collection Industry. The central focus of the CCAA is the credit grantor. The CCAA was formed in 1972 to improve the quality and reputation of the Collection Industry.

To become a member in the CCAA, each debt collection agency must meet a rigorous set of standards.  Once a member, the debt collection agency is certified by the CLLA, the oldest creditors' rights organization in the United States. Every debt collection agency in the CCAA has passed the CCAA litmus test in order to gain membership in the Association.

If your company is looking for a debt collection agency or several debt collection agencies then please consider the agencies that are members of the CCAA. Each member agency is highly qualified to collect your claims. These debt collection agencies are respected and revered throughout the entire Collection Industry.

All CCAA member debt collection agencies are capable of processing debt collection claims throughout the United States and around the world, regardless of a member's location.
